I will work to represent District 2 and all residents of The City of Hollywood.
I was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. I attended public school in Hollywood, including: Bethune and Collins Elementary, Attucks Junior High and Hollywood Hills High.
I am the proud mother of two wonderful children, Bryant and La'Keisha, and the proud grandmother of four.
After 42 years with the Broward County School Board, I retired to be more active in the City of Hollywood - my community, our city.
Throughout the years, I have served on several boards and committees in the community such as:
· President of Liberia Civic Association
· African-American Advisory Council
· Neighborhood Watch Advisory Council
I am devoted, ethical and honest. My grandmother taught me to have pride in my community and to know the people who live here. I have always served by improving the economic conditions of my neighbors with jobs and by helping to celebrate our culture.
My house has an open door for everyone who has a problem or concern and I attend city meetings to take these concerns to the Commission. I want to bring the same service to the City of Hollywood.
A good leader never lets power and ego drive their decisions. I am and will continue working for the people, not personal gain.
